The night Wanda pooped in the laundry hamper

This post is dedicated to my wonderful man, Bird.

Here's how the story goes.
Last night I was at work serving beer to about 150 dodge-ballers. This happens every Thursday night after their games. We get bombarded, they're loud and crazy, and we make a ton of money. I always just go home afterwards becasue i'm tired and want to be alone. BUT, last night my co-workers said, "Sarah, you never come. Just one time." So we went out for a drink.

I felt like the guilty mother with a child at home. Except my child is a feline. It was a fun night though, and I needed to hangout with my co-workers outside of work for once. They're cool.

In the back of my mind, I kept hoping that Wanda had gone potty outside. This is what we're working on right now. She's done great so far (until last night) and hasn't once gone in the house.

I get home, at about 2:45 (SO LATE!) and Chris says while lying in bed, "your cat pooped in the hamper." Not what I wanted to hear. Chris had taken her out 3 times before this!!! She wouldn't go outside for some odd reason. Does she only like to poop when I take her out? Does she like to poop in front of me? Weird.

Anyway, Chris cleaned it up and was so sweet he still let her sleep on our bed.

The End.

A Cat named Wanda

We went to the Humane Society yesterday, and adopted a cat!
She is the sweetest cat you will ever meet. Her name at the shelter was Wanda, and we decided to keep it. It's so fitting! She's still young, little over a year with none of that kitten craziness(scratching, biting, hyper). She is a mature little woman, and she is so cute.

We love her! I'll post a picture soon.

cool!

I've recently been asked at my work to become a MANAGER! Assistant, that is. This means, almost DOUBLE my pay AND I get to bartend - which is a nice break from serving. It will only be one night a week, and when someone needs a day off. This is perfect for me! I will still have my shorter serving shifts during the week, with one weekend night of managing (also the only night we close at 11 - woohoo!)

in want...

I really want to buy a new digital camera. The one I currently use is actually Chris'. It's nice, cute, and little but quality is not it's predominant feature.

Any ideas? My brother said either Nikon or Canon would be best for what I want. I'm looking to spend $200. Where should I buy one?

Let me know with comments if you will!

Thanks,
SRN

eeek!

THIS little guy was living in my parent's attic.

My mom named him "Ratty." They let him go in a field on the way to salem one day. Are my parents getting silly? Maybe...

The Shins and ANTM!?

Chris works at New Seasons right near Alberta in NE Portland. He sees a lot of musicians come in there - Viva Voce, guitarist for Interpol, Dandy Warhols and mulitple Shins. Including the keyboard player, Marty who "has a really tall girlfriend." Who knew she was from America's Next Top Model!? And lives on Alberta where we frequently dine/shop!? I love that show and I totally remember her!

Anywho, they've made some unfortunate headlines these past few days. Dangit.

updating

I'm finally able to blog! I found just the right position for the computer to pick up a wireless signal at our new place. It's slow, but it works!

Christmas has come and gone. Some much needed relaxation, family time, home cooked meals, and scrabble.

New Years Eve Chris and I spent the whole day MOVING. We love our new place. I've been able to get some things at ikea, and it's starting to feel very cozy. We love, love, love it!

New Years Eve was also our 1 year anniversary! So we went out to pizza across the street. It was so good. After that we went to Eli and Taylor's for some drinks. We then headed over to a party (which none of us were that excited about. Especially Chris and I because we were so tired!).... but it turned out to be SO fun! We met a couple, Noel and Brooks and their friend Maddy. Chris and I basically spent the whole night talking with them. They were so fun, and I think we made some really great new friends! Noel and Brooks also have their own t-shirt company that just launched. Check them out at ohbuggy.com

Hope you all had a great New Years! I'll post pictures of the new place once I find the camera cord!

Love you all,
Sarah
