I have been inspired....

...to sew! Ruby's recent post about her new sewing machine and all her beautiful creations has made me itch to start sewing! My mother was a professional seamstress out of our house for many years when I was growing up, and I learned on an old singer just like Ruby's green beauty. I had been looking at thrift stores and vintage shops for only a week when I came across this magnificent machine and cabinet! A major bargain for only $40! The cabinet also included an authentic "White" brand button maker, needles, bobbins, a box of attachments and all the original manuals! I'm so excited to get this baby goin - It needs a little tune-up, but other than that... this is one solid machine, from 1938! (my mom says my grammy had one just like it).

The Ax promo photos

Martha and I took some very non-professional pictures for Adam and Chris. Coming up in February (Feb. 17th), their first full length record will be released! Check it out at whoaboat.com. Anyway, a pretty large magazine in Germany called Visions (visions.de) asked if they could do a review of the upcoming release. They asked for a picture to be sent for them to use, so we fooled around a bit with out cheap cameras and took some photos. They sent the first one, but I included some other favorites.

Christmas is long gone!

The snow didn't stop us! After waiting in line at the tire store to purchase some chains for Jonah's car (it was stuck at my house, and he was at work) for 45 minutes, and seeing tons of people get turned away because they didn't have their size, we got our chains and made it home for Christmas! It was a very quick trip, but well worth it. AJ's personality is really starting to show! He is so hilarious, loves to play and loves his "Mama." This saturday is his 2nd birthday party! Here are some pics of the christmas festivities...

Remember the red beanie at thanksgiving? AJ was quick to find Chris' blue beanie. He did this hat combo on his own. My sister says the first thing he does when he wakes up in the morning is put a hat on. So cute!

I decided to check out MY digital-macro setting, too.

My sweet little mommy.

Ya-ya got AJ this weird looking rat/mouse puppet. He would throw things at it and laugh and run away. Uncle E liked to play with it, too!

wayyy too much snow now

Chris, Colin, Ryan, Marlin, Jonah, Eli, Graye at the Doug Fir. We all walked there and met up for some hot toddies. We have SO much snow, I have never lived like this! I tried to take Chris to work on Saturday, but slid everywhere and couldn't make it up hills, so my car is stuck 4 blocks from our apartment. It's been fun walking everywhere, but if it doesn't melt we won't be able to make it down to Corvallis for Christmas! Lets hope it goes away within the next couple days!!
Pony Village in the middle of Burnside. No cars at 8pm.... ghost town!

Winter Wedding

Geoff and Celeste got married at Edgefield on Sunday! Sooo fun! Pictures are out of order, but you get the idea. Such a pretty snowy, winter wedding.
