C-Town

This past weekend we celebrated my birthday in Corvallis. I was most excited to play with AJ! I quickly learned that Grandpa and AJ have a new activity they like to do together. I'm not really sure what to call it...or what my dad was thinking when he made it up! Let's just say that Grandpa is very innovative, and having practice with children definitely shows!
Here's how it went...
AJ gets on the pool floaty...
"WOW"
Pull Grandson around the yard on the floaty...
Oops, fell down because Grandpa was pulling so fast!
That's okay! I'll just run back and hop on again!
Pull Grandson into the house...
Uh oh, Grandpa walked away. AJ's not happy!
Now he's happy! Say "cheese!"

Oh, hello

AJ! He is getting so big, it's unbelievable! He's definately a little boy, and my sister is such a great mother! I still can't believe I was his nanny when he was just a little babe. I love you, AJ!

We went to Ashland last weekend. It was such a nice little girls getaway. We had amazing sushi (the 2nd best I've ever had), delicious french cuisine at Amuse, and two wonderful breakfasts! Ashland has so many good restaurants! We also saw a great play called The Clay Cart. It is the oldest Indian sanskrit play, part love story/drama/comedy. I really loved it because of all the beautiful sari's and costumes!

Neko Case
My nice friend Riley gave me a few Neko Case cd's. We share similar music taste and he assured me I would love her. If you haven't heard her, you should go getcha some! She is amazing. Such a beautiful voice and wonderful song writing.

October Plans...
Chris and I have decided to do something this October that we like to call, "Sober October." With so many of my friends in bands and myself working at a Pub, beer is a common beverage. So, starting October 1st we are both taking a month off of alcohol! A nice cleansing of the body and mind if you will. This way, we can save a few bucks (by not going to shows and buying over priced pints) and hopefully I'll loose a couple pounds! Also, my classes start on the 29th so this is a perfect way to start my last term of undergrad.
Some things I want to do more of:
play scrabble
yoga
play more tennis
sew
run? we'll see...
oh, and study!
That's it. Happy Fall!
