My parents came up recently and we picked out this bike as a graduation present! It's super fast, really light weight, and so fun to ride around on. I ride to work now and it only takes about 10 minutes. Getting home is even quicker, about 5 minutes. So much fun!

Updates...
It's just not as fun to blog without pictures. But, here it goes...
I'm officially done and graduated with school. Yippee!
We got a juicer recently and have been devouring the fresh juice. Chris can bring home whatever produce he wants, and we take full advantage. Favorite juice right now: carott, apple, ginger. Yum.
We went to Boise a couple weekends ago to visit Chris' cousin, his wife, their son, and Chris' mom flew over from Spokane. It was a super quick trip, but well worth it. Chris' cousin, Rick and wife Tiff are awesome people. So generous, and welcoming. They have 2 dogs, 3 cats and 2 chickens and the cuttest son, Early Atom Walker. My, oh my...what a lovely life they have! We played wii, ate good food including lasagna pizza, and played Taboo. So relaxing and fun.
Last weekend we went camping up on the Clackamas river. Eli, Taylor, Jonah, Chris and myself had tons - o - fun. I have mosquito bites to prove! We also played taboo, in which Eli and I lost terribly. We skipped rocks, had a massive fire and ate chili dogs. Also, relaxing and fun.
On the down side of things, I recently discovered that I had SHINGLES. Can you believe it? I didn't. You get them only if you've had chicken pox, and unlike the pox, they stay in generally one spot and don't spread. Mine were on the right lower back. The weirdest part was that my skin hurt for 4 days before anything showed up. I mean HURT. The slightest bit of clothing or touch felt like scraping a massive sunburn. I think people thought I was crazy....then the rash came... then I went to my doc. and she confirmed. Apparently they are caused by emotional and/or physical stress. I'm not sure why I got them, but they are almost gone now and I am glad to say that I will probably never get them again. Let's hope you guys don't!
Chris is getting ready to go on another tour this summer. This time it's southern bound. I'm excited for them! Chris loves touring, and I plan on eating better, and exercising more. It's just easier when boys aren't around! He can talk me into pizza any night...
This weekend I am excited to spend some time with my Pops, mom, sis and AJ. Don't forget your fathers!

sad face
My camera is temporarily broken. Monday morning the lens wouldn't open all the way. It wants to turn on, but something's wrong. I think it might have sand in it from the beach.... very big sad face.
Anyone know if it's fixable?

Sauvie!
"Two cats"
Even the kitties enjoy the patio...
The Parents. So cute and happy.
He just keeps getting bigger and bigger, and cuter, and smarter, and funnier! His vocabulary is increasing so much right now. I was teaching him to say, "I'm crazy!" He's so funny.
My favorite plant right now. It's growing so fast and spreading like crazy.
We had our first bbq with friends and lots of good food. Riley and Jenny even made it!
Nice mustache...
Molly, her pup Ellie, and Julia.

OOPS
I guess when the box says, "soft black" they really mean, "black black"......
I have black black hair now, ha! I think I will get used to it, it's just quite shocking right now!

Urban Gardening, Happy Earth Day! and more!
Have you ever seen this done before? I remembered I used to see it in Hawaii all the time... restaurants, homes, patios... it's supposed to keep the flies from coming into your space. I just put it up today, and had the door open all day... so far, no flies. I hope this works all summer!
I loooovvvvvee my new patio, so I couldn't wait to get some veggies, herbs and plants! Here we have basil, rosemary and cilantro. Probably my three favorite herbs to cook with. I planted them in a large pot with some other flowers.New tomato plant....yummm
I wanted to buy a ton of these (I forget what they're called) but they're expensive! Who knew grass would cost so much. I really want something to cover up the railing on the lower patio that faces the back stairs. Long grass would be ideal to create some privacy. I think I may drive out to Sauvie Island and transplant some. Is that bad? I don't think it will disrupt the ground too much out there because it's basically flat grassland. I will probably chicken out though.
Wanda and Tilda. This is what our cats did during the 80 degree weather. They are so much more mellow when it's hot. In fact, we are too!
I spent most of Sunday out in the sun, enjoying some margaritas at our work with my friend Molly. I love the sunshine!
Julia and I at breakfast. Screen Door. The best!
hehehe.... we look so serious! Chris and I enjoying our patio. SO NICE.
Val, Molly and I at Julia's bday party!
... love birds ...

Seattle Trip!
This past weekend, The Ax (pictured so lovingly below) played at the Fun House in dowtown, so the four of us (Adam, Martha, Chris, me) made our way up there on Sunday just in time to enjoy all of that great sunshine. We walked around Pike St., ate some good Mexican food with tasty margaritas, hungout with Seattle friends at the show, and had a blast in our 24 hr hot tub!!! We were crazy! My camera died, so this is all I got...

Beach Tour 2009
We had the best time at the coast this weekend for Chris' birthday. The plan was to stay just Sunday night in Cannon Beach at the place we stayed at last summer. After driving to Seaside on Monday, and calling our work friends to cover our shifts, we decided to stay another night! We then drove to Astoria on Tuesday. I love the coastal towns... So much character. And everyone is so friendly. This weekend was filled with some much needed rest and relaxation.

We got crazy when the sun came out in Seaside! Our hotel room had a huge picture window facing the beach and ocean. Hot chocolates in Astoria. The end. Happy 27th, babe!

pretty curtains!
I made these curtains to hide the trash can and recycling. For some reason it was just open there, and I didn't like seeing the trash. So, curtains it is!
