We had the best time at the coast this weekend for Chris' birthday. The plan was to stay just Sunday night in Cannon Beach at the place we stayed at last summer. After driving to Seaside on Monday, and calling our work friends to cover our shifts, we decided to stay another night! We then drove to Astoria on Tuesday. I love the coastal towns... So much character. And everyone is so friendly. This weekend was filled with some much needed rest and relaxation.

We got crazy when the sun came out in Seaside! Our hotel room had a huge picture window facing the beach and ocean. Hot chocolates in Astoria. The end. Happy 27th, babe!

pretty curtains!
I made these curtains to hide the trash can and recycling. For some reason it was just open there, and I didn't like seeing the trash. So, curtains it is!

Newest Nolde/Pierce member
Our wonderful new deck and patio.... two levels, lots of sunlight, perfect for having friends over!
With moving comes IKEA, right? I treated myself to this awesome lamp. It screams IKEA, but I love it.
Ray Bans baby.... Chris' early birthday present. Does he look like Bob Dylan yet? wow....
The spread: avocado, carrot, pepper, cucumber, mango, dried cherries, spicy bbq tempeh, teriyaki mushrooms, creams cheese, black sesame seeds and steamed edamame... yum.
Jonah even got in there and rolled some.
The finished product. We actually ate about twice this amount.I LOVE PICKLED GINGER.

busy weekend
I went down to Corvallis this weekend to celebrate my brother Jonah's 28th Birthday! Time flies... we had a yummy dinner of tortilla soup and fish tacos. Mmmm! And, I got to spend so much time with my nephew! My sister was out of town so he was staying at Yaya and Tata's (he came up with those names for my parents, and loves to YELL them in the morning!) He is so crazy and funny! I love my Ajers!
Of course! The first thing I do when I wake up is put of my hat and 3-D glasses.
Brushing his teeth with uncle Jonah
Loves hats!
Dancing to the guitar is soo fun.
Nice look Aj! I love those boots...
